 BFIT Big Dreams Youth Inc. Donor Policy

  Purpose  

BFIT Big Dreams Youth Inc. is committed to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, integrity, and accountability in our donor relationships. This policy outlines how we manage donations, donor information, and our mutual responsibilities to ensure trust and ethical stewardship of funds.

  Donor Rights

1. Transparency: Donors have the right to know how their contributions are spent. BFIT provides clear reporting on the use of funds, ensuring donations directly support our programs and mission.

2. Confidentiality: Personal information shared by donors will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be shared without the donor’s consent, except as required by law.

3. Recognition: Donors will receive acknowledgment for their contributions unless they request anonymity. Public recognition will respect donor preferences.

  Use of Donations

All donations will be used solely for advancing the mission of BFIT Big Dreams Youth Inc., including program development, operational support, and community outreach. Restricted gifts will be applied as designated by the donor, while unrestricted gifts will be used where the need is greatest.

  Gift Acceptance

BFIT accepts donations in the form of monetary gifts, securities, in-kind contributions, and other types of assets, provided they align with the organization’s goals. Donations that come with unreasonable restrictions, or conflict with the mission or values of the organization, may be declined.

  Refunds

Once accepted, donations are non-refundable except in the case of administrative error or if the gift cannot be used for its intended purpose as agreed upon with the donor.

  Donor Communication

We commit to providing regular updates to our donors through reports, newsletters, and other forms of communication to demonstrate the impact of their support.

  Policy Review

This Donor Policy is reviewed annually by the BFIT Board to ensure it aligns with current laws, best practices, and the evolving needs of the organization.
